HIS 215 New York State, 1600-1945
This course explores the historical development of New York State from the Dutch and British colonial period through the World War II era. Students will analyze primary and secondary documents that pertain to colonization, migration, commercial exchange, and investigate the impact of reform movements, the boundaries of citizenship, and the transformation of patronage politics in the Empire State.
