SWK 678 Specialist Field Practicum 1

This course supports and expands the learning and skills development begun in the Generalist year. Students will be assigned to a field agency within their specialized area of choice. During their 16 hours per week in the field agency, students will use professional social work field instruction to advance learning and apply knowledge and social work ethics and values to their practice with clients and communities that enhance social well-being. This course includes 1.5 hours a week in classroom instruction with faculty instructor, focusing on clinical skills, diagnostic assessment, therapeutic intervention, evaluation and supervision. Pre-requisities: SWK 582, 583. Co-requisite: SWK 679. Fall.
