CJS 422 Mapping & Analysing Crime

This course explores the concepts, theory and practice of crime analysis using both conventional statistical and spatial analytic techniques in the context of specific criminal justice related examples.With a heavy emphasis on lab work, students will learn to create a range of basic analytic products that involve crime mapping using GIS.A final project analyzing a specific crime problem will complete the course.Fall 2014
