MBA 640 Managerial Finance

A study of the theory and process financial managers utilize in making financial decisions, the effect of these decisions and the process of selecting the most appropriate alternatives for the specific situation at hand. Topics include: budgeting of funds and analysis of financial requirements; formulations of debt policy; decisions for optimum capital structure; determination of influences on the cost of capital; capital budgeting techniques; and risk leverage and break-even analysis. Students will use spreadsheet packages. Prerequisite: MBA 511, or equivalent, and competency in spreadsheet software.
