ART 113 Drawing 1

This course provides an introduction to skills necessary to effectively translate visual perception into two-dimensional language of observational drawing. Emphasis is placed on the relation of foreshortening and space through an understanding of structure. Various drawing media, methods and subjects including figure, still life, and interiors, are explored as a means of acquiring knowledge and experiencing drawing as an expressive medium. Critical thinking and problem solving skills will be developed through analysis and dialogue. Materials fee. (L05)
