Business Economics - BS

Program Overview:

The Business Economics major affords students an opportunity to combine knowledge of the structure and operation of our economy with the study of the many functional areas of business. Majors will also gain an awareness and appreciation of the global and technological forces at work shaping the environment in which businesses operate.

Graduates from the Business Economics major are highly sought after for their unique mix of analytic and applied business skills, and are well-suited for successful careers in business.

Program Requirements:

The Business Economics major at the College of Saint Rose gives students a solid understanding of today's global business environment and market structure. It combines in-depth study of economics theory with business applications. All Business Economics majors develop a comprehensive understanding in the various functional areas of accounting and business by completing the Accounting and Business Requirements; and they develop a focus in economics by completing the Economics Requirements.

Normally, once a student has matriculated in the Business Economics major at The College of Saint Rose, he or she must satisfy all remaining major requirements with Saint Rose courses. 

The minimum credit requirement for the Bachelor of Science in Business Economics at The College of Saint Rose is 122 credits, which consists of the following:

**Arts and science electives include courses from the arts and sciences that may or may not have Liberal Education designation. Courses taken in professional fields such as accounting, business, nursing, education, medical technology or engineering are generally not recognized as arts and sciences for this requirement. Students must consult with their advisors in selecting these courses.

***Additional credits include any courses offered or accepted by The College of Saint Rose that can be applied toward the 122 credit hour graduation requirement.
