GCE 540 Special Topics in Global and Comparative Education
This course offers a sustained focus on current and ongoing issues in selected nations in a particular region (e.g., Asia and the Pacific Rim). Close attention will be paid to educational systems, practices, and policies in the region, which will be addressed from different cultural, social, historical, and economic perspectives. The course will treat the region as a heterogeneous area with vast differences across and within nations. The course may be taken more than once as long as a different region is addressed. Fall.
