GCE 510 Understanding Research in Global and Comparative Education
This course provides an introduction to research in global and comparative education, preparing students to read, critique, and conduct such research. It investigates pertinent theoretical and methodological frameworks, emphasizing humanities-oriented research. Topics include the relation between theory, research, and policy; similarities and differences between humanities-oriented and empirical social science research in education; the development of research questions, proposals, and projects; and professional ethics. Co-requisite: GCE 520: Global & Comparative Theories and Philosophies of Education. Fall.
