TEC 211 Architectural Modeling
The major focus of this course is a long-term project that involves the design and development of a facility. Students will learn about the various aspects of civil engineering and architecture and, then, apply what they learn using a hypothetical project. This course will model the real-world experiences that civil engineers and architects encounter from site selection and site development through bid document preparation. In order to complete this ambitious scope, students will work in groups mimicking the teamwork that is required in industry. Together, they will explore, through a series of hands-on projects and activities, the variety of options the fields of civil engineering and architecture offer. Topics will include: the role of developers, engineers, architects and owners in the design of a facility. Course fee. Prerequisite: TEC 210. Spring
