SPA 400 Contemporary Latin American Novelists
Going from the Latin American literary boom of the sixties and early seventies, to a younger generation of writers invested in escaping the shadow of magical realism and reinventing their literary voices as transnational and global, this course explores the common threads that link different moments of contemporary Latin American fiction, as well as their connection with the literary production of the Latin American diaspora settled in the U.S. Prerequisites: SPA 265, SPA 275.
