ESC 450 Intro to Applied Geophysics

An introduction to the field of applied geophysics, including seismic refraction and reflection, electrical resistivity, and gravity and magnetic methods.The course will cover the basic physics of each method and how they are applied. Lab covers the application of geophysical field methods and modeling techniques. Two and a half hours of lecture and three hours of lab per week. Lab fee.Prerequisites: PHY 190 and 191, MAT 190, ESC 320.
