ATE 374 Methods:Applied Tech Educ

This course will introduce students to the methods involved in teaching technology education. The course will require students to both work in the field and in the college classroom. During the course, students must document their in-service teaching or their work at instructor-approved field experience. Topics covered will include: use of ht problem-solving process in addressing technology problems, learning through interdisciplinary teams, integration of math and science with technology, use of content-based computer software, laboratory management and safety, problem-solving through design briefs, project-based and demonstration methods of teaching, and assessment of student learning.
