MUS 222 Instrumental Conducting II

This course implements advanced techniques of conductin an instrumental ensemble in order to prepare both student and accelerated musicians at the professional level. Complex and multimeters beat patterns, styles and contrasts are studies in both a lab ensemble as well as recorded and seleteced performances. Advanced gestures and intensive score preparation in terms of both pedagogical and kinesthetic responses are central to this upper-level course. Prerequisite: MUS 221.
