HIS 355 Central Amer & Carribean Hist

This course examines the role of foreign investment and private enterprise in regional development since 1900. It explains how economic growth has affected democratic political institutions and revolutionary movements in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, and Nicaragua. Fulfills writing-intensive requirement. Prerequisite: HIS 249 or 251.
