PSY 301 Movies and the Modern Mind

An application of basic social psychological perspectives to character studies in major motion pictures. We will cover psychological theories that address attitudes, prejudice, love, social influence, altruism and aggression and then examine how psychological research corresponds to current pop cultural portrayals in film. Prerequisite: successful completion of PSY 110 or 111 with a C or better. Offered as needed.
