POS 537 Institutions of US Foreign Policy

The compelling assumption underlying the notion of institutional influences on foreign policy is that a relationship exists between the substance of foreign policy-making and the process of policy-making. Thus, the institutional setting of United States foreign policy will be the primary focus of this course. The various branches of government and the departments and agencies assigned responsibility for decision-making, management and implementation will be examined.
