EDU 573 Fiction Series Books for Young Readers, Grades 1-4

This course examines series books as a resource for scaffolding the literacy acquisition of young readers. Guidelines will be presented for helping pupils to make quality selections in this popular genre. Strategies for developing pupils' comprehension, vocabulary, and understanding of plot, characters, and theme will be explored. Offered occasionally.
