ARA 102 Culture in Action

A continuation of ARA 101. With a communication-centered approach, this course explores the elementary structures, expressions and vocabulary of the Arabic language, with a significant focus on cultural aspects and/or current events of the Arabic speaking world. After completing this course, students should be able to handle short social interactions, using written or oral language to communicate about familiar topics via phrases and simple sentences. Students with more than two consecutive years of high school Arabic should not take this course. (C3)
