CSD 537 Acquired Cognitive Com Dis

This graduate course will assist students in developing basic biological, social, clinical, and theoretical understanding of acquired cognitive-communication disorders.  This course will explore the cognitive domains of attention, memory, perception, executive function, along with the underlying neurological mechanisms of cognition. Assessment and intervention planning for individuals with typical and atypical aging (i.e, Mild Cognitive Impairment, Dementia), Traumatic Brain Injury, and Right Hemisphere Cognitive-Communication Disorders will also be addressed. Fall, Spring.
