ENG 336 Studies in Black Literatures

Critical examination of Black literatures in historical, political, cultural, and/or theoretical contexts. Readings may range over a long historical span or focus on a specific movement, time period, critical approach, or genre. This course may be taken more than once, provided each course addresses a different topic. Prerequisites: ENG 112 or 114 and two literature courses at the 200-level. Fulfills the diversity and writing-intensive requirements.
