Musical Theater Minor

Program Overview:

The Musical Theater Minor is available to music majors and for non-music majors. 

For music majors, an audition is required: two contrasting songs (approximately 32 bars in length) from the musical theater or Great American Songbook canon and a one-minute monologue. Music and monologue must be memorized.

Those entering the Musical Theater Minor for non-music majors are required to prepare one song (approximately 32 bars in length) and a one-minute monologue for placement into applied lessons and the acting styles sequence.
