PED 164 Mountain Biking

Mountain biking is a wonderful lifetime fitness activity done in the great outdoors during the summer season. As do other summer activities such as hiking and rock climbing, Mountain Biking provides a means of lifetime fitness and wellness for all, from the novice to the Olympic champion, from age three to ninety-three. These activities all help to develop balance, timing, control, and cardiovascular endurance. These activities demand and develop strength and energy, yet can be enjoyed in relation to the level of a person's physical abilities. Progress can be so quick, obvious, and rewarding. (L12)
