MAT 160 Ideas in Modern Mathematics
This course will include a variety of ideas in mathematics with an emphasis on applications to current topics and, as such, the topics covered may change from semester to semester. Ideas which may be discussed include sets, basic algebra, combinatorics, probability, statistics, apportionment, mathematics in financial matters, matrices and other appropriate topics.
