ART 301 Junior Review
After sixty credits of study at the Center for Art and Design, all students are required to participate in a faculty assessment of their artwork and contributions to the Art Department known as the Junior Review. Each student is required to submit a written response to a faculty questionnaire and make an oral presentation focusing on the progress and content of their artwork on display before a panel of the art faculty. Following the student presentation, the faculty respond with comments and offer written responses that are sent to the student shortly after the review. Students write a post-review self-reflection to complete the assessment.Grading is Pass/Fail and students must pass each component of the Junior Review to complete this degree requirement. Students who fail any portion of the review are required to address and successfully remediate the recommendations of the faculty and/or participate in a future Junior Review. All transfer students are required to consult with their faculty advisor before scheduling their Junior Review.
