EDU 512 Education in the Americas

A study of the developments in American education from the Colonial period to the present. Emphasis will be placed on the social, intellectual, economic, and political forces that shaped educational developments. Attention will be given to fundamental ideological questions, as well as to institutional developments. Offered annually. (3 credits)
