MED 636 Secondary Vocal Methods
This course focuses on methods for developing and implementing appropriate curricula for Vocal and Choral Ensembles, Group Vocal Instruction, Classroom Music, and General Music, grades 7-12. Topics include: instructional strategies, methodologies, rehearsal techniques, program administration, scheduling, use of technology, lesson and unit planning, development of presentation and motivational skills, sequencing, assessment, and evaluation of choral and vocal literature and instructional materials including textbooks. The New York State and National Standards will be referenced Corequisites: Masterworks Chorale and Laboratory Teaching MED 638. Spring. For students in certificate program only.
