MED 595 Student Teaching Seminar
This is a required course for all Music Education K-12 students enrolled in student teaching and is designed to provide support during the student teaching semester. It is a pass/fail course, which allows opportunities for the student teacher to come together with colleagues, and instructors to discuss issues that relate to teaching as a profession, in general, as well as those that relate to individual classroom situations. Topics to be discussed will include classroom management and discipline issues, Inclusion, the use of Language Arts in the music class, assessment issues, unionization of professions, ethics and the law.
