BLE 508 Spanish Sociolinguistics and Psycholiguistics

This course provides an in-depth study of sociolinguistic issues in Spanish particularly in relationship to monolingual vs. bilingual communities.The second half of the course focuses on Psycholinguistics:the processes of language acquisition and language production, with a specific review of issues related to bilingual language learners.Advanced language proficiency is assumed.Prerequisite:BLE 500.Spring
