Veteran Students

The College of Saint Rose is proud to be a veteran-friendly college and is a participant in the Yellow Ribbon Program. The Bursar’s Office manages the financial aspects of Veteran Educational Benefits, while the Registrar’s Office provides the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) with enrollment certifications. Questions about eligibility and tuition/housing benefits should be directed to the VA at: www.va.gov/education/ or 1-888-442-4551. Veterans are also encouraged to visit or call the campus Veterans Center (518-458-5364) for one-on-one guidance and advice.

Veterans an veteran affiliates intending to use VA benefits should contact the Veteran School Certifying Official (SCO) at Saint Rose at 518-458-5458 or registrar@strose.edu. The SCO will provide instructions regarding required documents, cut-off and due-by dates, and detailed advice about the certification process. Veteran and veteran affiliate students have ongoing responsibilities to both the VA and the SCO, who closely monitor their enrollment status and academic progress. It is incumbent on the VA benefits recipient to follow the policies and guidelines outlined by the VA and The College of Saint Rose.
