PSY 110 Foundations of Psychology 1

An overview of the theoretical perspectives, empirical findings and applications in the major sub disciplines of psychology. Topics to be covered include the history of psychology, psychological research methods, biological bases of behavior, sensation and perception, states of consciousness, conditioning and learning, memory, motivation and emotion, sexuality, health and stress and basic statistical applications of psychology. Transfer students who have taken Introduction to Psychology elsewhere would receive credit for this course. Not open to FPY majors. Fall, Spring (L11)
