NSG 485 Transition to Prof Practice

This course allows the student to bring nursing theory, research, and practice into a culminating experience. Opportunity for collaboration with peers and faculty is provided as the student works within a clinical setting to develop and complete an evidence based practice (EBP) project. Results of this scholarly work will be presented in a poster presentation and paper. Using a critical reflection process, personal and professional values/ beliefs are reexamined as the bachelor’s prepared nurse develops their own philosophy of nursing and professional portfolio. There is a 90-hour clinical requirement for this course. Pre-requisite: NSG 400 and senior status.
