MAT 200 Mathematical Inquiry

Designed for the elementary education major with a mathematics concentration, this course guides students in the process of mathematical discovery.  This process involves experiencing elementary mathematical ideas in new ways, questioning, creating original mathematical works, searching for patterns, developing strategies, and finding ways to explore mathematical ideas more deeply. Connections are made with teaching children mathematics. See Placement Test policy under Academic Services. Spring. (L07) Course will not be offered after Spring 2022.
