ILE 590 Seminar: Educ in Global Soc
This course provides international secondary school teachers with practical approaches for implementing curricula across different subjects. This ILEP customized course affords practitioners ample opportunities for creating professional development modules and lesson plans that they will use in their home countries. Fellows will be exposed to effective and research-based teaching methods, including culturally responsive teaching, differentiated instruction, the use of technology to enhance student learning, and assessment. Participants will develop skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to teach effectively in international secondary schools. The practical nature of this course stems from the ways it stresses techniques, methods, assessment, and activities that teachers will be using in conjunction with other procedures in their education-related activities. The concepts and strategies covered in this course will assist ILEP fellows who work with a wide range of students, including differences in culture, race ability, language, economic status, and gender.
