WGS 368 Afrcn Amer Women's History
This course illuminates the history of black women in the United States, their political organizations, and their leadership roles in the collective struggle for social justice and popular liberation. It focuses special attention on women like Harriet Tubman, Ida B. Wells, and Fanny Lou Hamer by examining their efforts to establish equal rights for women, African-Americans, farmers, workers, and the poor. Fulfills writing intensive requirement.
