URB 300 Found of Educ:Urban

This course considers the philosophical, historical and social factors that impact and shape American educational policies, practices and institutions toward dominant and marginalized groups. Current educational aims, goals, curricula and instructional practices are examined in light of their philosophical, historical and sociological antecedents and their relationship to culturally diverse groups, family, school and society. Not open to freshmen or first-semester sophomores.
