TEC 311 Fund Analog & Digital Circuits

Nearly every aspect of the designed world is affected by the use of analog and digital circuits and systems, either in producing the power that drives them, or by the control systems that manage them. In addition, the exponential growth in the use and capabilities of the microcomputer and other digital circuitry has revolutionized nearly every technological field. In order to understand and explain how the designed world operates, the technology teacher must have a solid grounding in the principles and applications of electrical and electronic phenomena. This course will provide an examination of digital and analog circuits and systems, alternating underlying theory with practical applications and hands-on projects. While a primary focus will be the understanding of how these systems operate, the extensive labs and projects are intended to provide the student both an opportunity to apply his/her knowledge and specific tools to teach these principles in a technology education setting. Offered every other Spring.
