POS 205 State, Power, & Civil Society

(Cross-listed with HIS 205) This course examines the structures, functions, and/or activities of national and imperial states. Students will explore the evolution of civil society, competing interpretations of citizenship, myriad articulations of power, and the contestation of sovereignty in the modern world.
