ART 100 Foundation Seminar

This course provides an introduction to the art program, and is a requirement for the first year art student and transfer student. Student will work collaboratively on a group project supported by trips, research and class discussions and lectures. Through these trips and additional visiting artist and alumni lectures, students will will observe, respond to, and create discourse around themes in contemporary art and design. This course will also introduce students to the process of advisement, learn more about career paths and opportunities in the campus and regional arts community. Two full-day Saturday trips are required for this course. Note: Transfer students with at least 30 transfer credits including 6 credits of required studio coursework, or transfers admitted in the spring of freshmen year, are waived from this course.
