AHS 180 Fundementals of Microbio+LAB

This course provides an introduction to microorganisms (bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa) and their relationship with other biological sciences, medicine and public health. This course is designed primarily for nursing majors. Laboratory periods will explore practical uses of the microscope, staining techniques, growth media, control of microbial growth, biochemical testing and microbial identification. High school biology and chemistry or equivalent recommended.
