EPY 544 Grant Writing and Program Development
The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to the field of professional grant writing, as well as develop an understanding of program theory for creating community- and school-based programs. Students will explore the various steps a grant writer/program developer employs in professional practice. Students will also gain knowledge about the grant requests for proposals (RFPs) process used by federal and state agencies, as well as foundation and corporate funders. Students will learn where to find grant funding opportunities and how to write competitive proposals - creating programs that are research-based, and theoretically and developmental appropriate for the students or community groups they serve.Pre-requisite EPY 500.Spring.
